Villa Tugendhat in Brno

60 km faraway from Třebíč (1 hour by car)

The Villa is together with the German Pavilion in Barcelona (1929) one of the most important pre-war work of an architecture Mies van der Rohe who set new standards of modern living. They call this type of modern architecture functionalism. The author is considered to be one of the fathers of modern architecture of the 20th century. The Villa Tugendhat was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.
